The general basis on which SGW Dumpster Rental Saginaw rents roll-off containers: ordering, placement, access, what goes in the load, loading limits and liability.
- City ordinance quoted by section
- 17 communities, 19 governments
- Call-only — no quote form
- We say what we could not verify
Two separate things are covered below: using saginawdumpsterrentals.com, and the general footing on which SGW Dumpster Rental Saginaw puts a container on a property. Nothing on this page settles anything about your particular job — that is settled in the conversation and written on your paperwork, and the paperwork wins wherever the two read differently. No figure about cost appears anywhere on this site, so nothing here can be read as a quote.
Using this website
Treat everything published here as background, not as a specification. The measurements, the bag equivalents and the accounts of how material behaves are set down as carefully as we know how and are still approximations — two makers build the same nominal box to different drawings, and city, township, county and state rules all move. No page on this site constitutes a binding offer. None of it stands in for asking the government that actually has jurisdiction over your address, or a qualified professional, about your own circumstances.
Ordering
Ordering is by telephone. There is no quote form, no booking screen and no account on this site, and nothing is confirmed until you have spoken to somebody. The chat window on these pages belongs to a third party, as the privacy policy sets out; typing into it is not an order and does not reserve a container.
Placement, access and the surface
- You are responsible for confirming that the place you want the container to stand is suitable and allowed there, including any right-of-way sign-off needed for a container on a public street. In this county that means asking the government that actually has jurisdiction over your address, which is not always the one your mail suggests.
- You are responsible for telling us before delivery about buried utilities, soft ground, shared driveways, low limbs and anything decorative or fragile along the approach.
- If the container is there to serve excavation work, the dig notice for that excavation is yours to file. Michigan requires notice at least 72 hours, but not more than 14 calendar days, before the start of any blasting or excavation, and the caution zone either side of the marks is 48 inches. That duty attaches to the digging, not to where a container is set down.
- A loaded container is heavy, and judging the ground at a given address is not something we are qualified to do. Plywood goes under the wheels and both rails as a matter of course; even then a surface can come away marked. Nominating a spot means taking that risk on the surface you nominated.
- The route in has to be open on the day the box arrives and the day it leaves. A truck that reaches the address and cannot get to the spot has still made the trip, and that trip may appear on the invoice.
What goes in the load
Michigan's restrictions on what can be landfilled are item by item rather than one blanket list, they are not the same for households and businesses, and several of the items people assume are banned are not the ones that are. EGLE publishes the current position, and a hauler has a statutory duty to inform customers about landfill-banned wastes annually. The practical term is simple: describe what is actually going in before it goes in, and ask about anything you are unsure of rather than burying it in the middle of a load. Where more than ten scrap tires are involved there is a separate registration requirement in Michigan, so say how many there are when you call.
If material that cannot lawfully be disposed of in the load is found in a container, you are responsible for the cost of removing it, disposing of it correctly, and any penalty imposed on us as a result.
Loading
Loads must sit level with the top rail. A container loaded above the rail cannot be lawfully transported and will not be collected until it has been leveled. Do not move, tip or attempt to relocate a container once it has been set down.
Liability
Where we are liable for something that goes wrong on a rental, that liability is capped at what was invoiced for the rental itself. Knock-on losses sit outside it — a trade standing idle, a closing date missed, a schedule that slips behind. Any liability that Michigan law says cannot be capped is not capped here either, whatever the rest of this page says.
Changes to these terms
Rewritten terms replace these ones on this page as soon as they are rewritten. Nothing is kept in an archive, so the version in front of you is the version that governs.
